Understanding the difference between platform security and protection of financial assets.
1. Security by design
Intelligent recognises that financial information and access to digital services require careful handling. Security practices vary by service and responsible provider. Measures can include authentication, access controls and operational safeguards where implemented. No digital system is entirely free of risk.
2. Account security
Users should protect their sign-in details, keep devices updated and report suspicious activity through the official service contact channels. The relevant service provider may limit access in response to a security, misuse or compliance concern, subject to applicable terms and law. Security checks can affect the availability or timing of account- related actions.
3. Client money and investments
Website security is not the same as legal custody of money or investments. For any financial product, the responsible provider’s terms govern whether client money or assets are held, how they are recorded, which institution has custody and what rights apply. Access to a portfolio view or the Intelligent brand does not by itself establish that Intelligent is the custodian, broker or deposit-taking institution.
4. Safeguarding and compensation
Where client-asset segregation, safeguarding or compensation arrangements apply, their scope depends on the relevant provider, jurisdiction, asset and account type. These arrangements do not generally protect against ordinary investment losses or guarantee a return. No particular insurance scheme or compensation limit is promised by this page.
5. Third-party and operational risks
Financial services may involve third-party technology, payment, market-data or regulated service providers. Such dependencies can create interruption, processing and counterparty risks. The allocation of responsibility is defined by the agreements governing the specific service.
6. What you should check
Before transferring funds or using an investment account, review the contracting entity, custody and payment arrangements, relevant fees, risk disclosures and any applicable investor-protection information. If something is unclear, seek clarification using the official website or product contact channels before proceeding.
